Dierks Bentley has landed an ad campaign he calls "the pinnacle for a dude that likes to drink beer." He's the newest addition to Anheuser Busch's "Real Men of Genius" campaign. The spot begins by saying, "Today we salute you, Dierks Bentley, Mr. Sad Country Song Songwriter." It begins to |
|
air nationally this month. Bentley laughingly says "I've had to nurse a lot of hangovers over the years to reach this status." Bentley, whose tour is sponsored by Anheuser-Busch's Bud Light, says he's honored to be on the same list as "Mr. Restroom Toilet
Refiller" and "Mr. Push Up Bra Inventor." To hear the ad, Click

Taylor Swift Update |
| Taylor Swift
says it only took one mom to tell her she was a role model and she was hooked. Swift tells the L.A. Daily News that her clean-cut image is "kind of critical" for her. As she puts it, "I never, ever want to let those people down. I let that govern my life, and I'm proud of it." |

|
| She says she does what she can to live right and to set an example. She says she considers herself "lucky to be in this position." Swift says at an early age she was seduced by country music. She says she didn't relate to her friends' party-hearty attitudes. As she puts it, "On weekends I was going to songwriter nights and guitar lessons, while my friends were going to parties and stealing their parents' alcohol." |
